Tucson Symphony Orchestra Musicians Ratify Concessionary Contract
Friday, 20 March 2009

The musicians of the Tucson Symphony Orchestra have ratified a contract which includes significant wage reductions. Recognizing the current financial challenges facing the TSO, the musicians felt this action was necessary to preserve the viability of the organization at this crucial time. We view the financial concessions as an investment in the future of the TSO, and look forward to the time when our achievements and professionalism will be acknowledged and justly compensated.

Cherished by the Tucson community for 80 years, the Tucson Symphony Orchestra has flourished as one of this city’s cultural gems. In these difficult times, the musicians of the TSO remain committed to our orchestra’s mission of artistic excellence, educational outreach, and community involvement. We are profoundly grateful to our loyal audience and supporters.
